Where to stay in Zapata & Bay of Pigs

Accommodation options are extremely limited in the Zapata Peninsula. There are just two hotels on the coast, Hotel Playa Larga and Hotel Playa Giron, both of which are a throwback to holiday camps of yesteryear.

The only other hotel option in the area is Villa Guama which, with its lagoon setting and the boat journey across, is a wonderful setting although, alas, the quality of accommodation lets it down.

There are also a small number of casa particulars in the Playa Larga area, almost all within a few hundred metres of each other, including the stand out option, Hostal Casa Mayito.
