Where to stay in Ceibal & Aguateca
Most visitors to Ceibal & Aguateca either arrive on a day trip from Flores and the Lake Peten area or are en-route to Candelaria.
As a result, accommodation options in the area, including the nearby town of Sayaxche, are very limited indeed.
Our only current accommodation in the area is the Chiminos Island Lodge, a short boat ride from Aguateca. Although rustic, it will appeal to those who don’t wish to rush as well as those with a desire to experience a degree of soft adventure.
