Owned by the same family since its construction in 1923, as in fact the first hotel to be built at Chichen Itza, the Mayaland Hotel & Bungalows is located directly adjoining the historic ruins.
Aside from its history and incredibly convenient location, the Mayaland Hotel & Bungalows is notable for its extensive garden setting, a wonderful retreat from the crowds and dust of the ruins.
After a day spent exploring Chichen Itza, most guests will want to relax at one of the property’s choice of swimming pools although, for those feeling active, there is a walking path within the ground’s while the hotel can also arrange cycling and horse-riding trips in the surrounding countryside.
Considering the size of the hotel, dining options are also very impressive with four different venues to choose from as well as a lobby bar. Most evenings, there will also be some form of live entertainment on offer such as traditional dances.
The hotel’s 37 rooms comprise a choice of standard and superior rooms or, better still, individual Mayan-style bungalows.
