Alexander Von Humboldt National Park

The trail begins at the Santa Maria river and begins as a flat path through a lush forest of fruit trees before climbing to 740 metres above sea level. As well as the beautiful flora and fauna there are a number of waterfalls in the park including the 25-metre high Santa Maria waterfall and El Maja waterfall where you can take a dip in the sheltered pool.

Discovering The Unknown Havana

El Cobre

The church was built in 1927 and houses a black Madonna which many Cubans come to venerate and ask for protection from. El Yunque Hike

To reach the top involves trekking an approximate 10 km trail that reaches 575 metres above sea level. Departing Baracoa and crossing the Duaba river, you will get to the protected area around Quivijan, Duaba & El Yunque. At the ground level you will notice cocoa plantations which are very much part of the local economy; as you climb, these cocoa plantations give way to tropical rainforest before you reach the clearing at the top of El Yunque and enjoy the beautiful views.

Guanayara Hiking, Topes De Collantes

Havana Across The Bay

From the Morro Castle, it’s just a short walk to the Fortaleza de San Carlos De La Cabana, one of the largest forts anywhere in the Americas. Another short walk takes you to Cristo de la Habana, a 60-foot statue with panoramic views across the bay to Old Havana and beyond. You then follow the road down to the charming neighbourhood of Casablanca, home to the famous Hershey Train station. Hemingway Route

Visit his old house at Finca Vigia as well as the preserved room 511 at the Ambos Mundos hotel where he also lived and wrote. The Three Valleys

Departing Havana in the morning, and heading through unspoiled countryside, there will first be a short stop at Cafeteria Las Barrigonas to visit a small tobacco plantation. Continuing west, you then visit a cigar factory in the provincial capital of Pinar del Rio before arriving in the Vinales Valley. There will be time to explore the charming town of Vinales and beautiful Dos Hermanas Valley before taking an underground boat trip at Cueva del Indio. The best time to visit is between November & April and some of the birds you can expect to spot include zunzuncitos (Cuban bee hummingbird), a rare type of bandicoot, water-hen and various species of parrots and herons.
