Beyond The Ordinary is a UK based tour operator specialising in tailor made holidays to Cuba, Guatemala and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

With the exception of our small group tours, all our holidays are tailored to clients’ specific, individual requirements and, as such, there are many thousands of potential itineraries that we can arrange.

As members of ABTOT and being fully bonded through the ATOL scheme, all client money held by us is 100% protected.

Although the vast majority of our enquiries are conducted by phone and email, we are more than happy to meet clients in person subject to prior booking. We are based in the beautiful Kentish town of Tenterden with lots to see and do nearby.

Meet Jon, the founder of Beyond The Ordinary

Having undertaken my first long-haul flight (a BOAC VC-10) at the age of three months, travel has been in my blood ever since and is something that I care passionately about.

After graduating from university and taken a second year off to cycle across Asia, there was never any question that I would do anything other than work in the travel industry.

So it was that in the mid-1990s I found myself at a small, London-based company that was one of the first tour operators to offer tailor made holidays to Cuba.

A quarter of a century later and I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve been to Cuba, the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, Guatemala and beyond.

Things have certainly changed since my early travels, mostly for the better. What hasn’t changed is the ability for the region as a whole to still entice, excite and surprise me. Let’s chat.
