Jibacoa

  • Playa Arroyo Bermejo at Jibacoa, Cuba

Small, secluded resort close to Havana

One of Cuba’s smallest, and most picturesque resorts, Jibacoa is located just an hour’s drive from both the centre of Havana and the main international airport.

Such proximity to the capital city might suggest a certain degree of development but one thing that Cuba happily lacks is urban sprawl. Accordingly, the resort of Jibacoa is located largely in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing but lovely countryside.

Despite the name, the resort of Jibacoa is located not on Playa (beach) Jibacoa but at nearby Playa Arroyo Bermejo. A beautiful, crescent shaped beach, one of the few places in Cuba where one can snorkel straight off the beach, and all surrounded by forested hills, it’s no surprise that Jibacoa is so popular.

Beyond The Ordinary arrange fully bonded, tailor made holidays and tours to Cuba. Contact one of our experts on 01580 764796, email travel@beyondtheordinary.co.uk or contact us via our website.

There is no local town or village, no nearby bars, restaurants or shops so Jibacoa really is all about the beach. With setting that is both beautiful and incredibly convenient, Jibacoa is an ideal location to end a touring holiday of Cuba with a few days flopped out by the beach.
