This video was shot as part of a field trip by Rice Earth Science Professor André Droxler and graduate students to study the effects of carbonates and climate change on Belize’s fragile, coral reef, one of the largest in the world.
Recently, in order to further protect these reefs, the government of Belize have announced a ban on any further oil exploration in its territorial waters.
