Where to stay on the Corn Islands
It is somewhat bewildering, in a largely positive sense, that accommodation options on both Big Corn & Little Corn remain so limited.
In these days of over-tourism and over-development around the world, long may it last.
On Big Corn, the stand out hotel is the Arenas Beach Hotel, located a short drive from the airport (everywhere on Big Corn is a short drive from the airport) on the island’s western, more sheltered coast.
Even closer to the airport is Paraiso Beach Hotel which has comfortable rooms and possibly the best restaurant on the island but little in the way of a beach.
Located on the east coast, with stronger breezes and sweeping views, is the simple but friendly Casa Canada.
Little Corn is a 30 minute speedboat ride from Big Corn and accommodation is mainly geared to the backpacker market.
In contrast to the prevailing market, and located on the island’s north coast, is the luxurious Yemaya Reefs Hotel, pretty much everyone’s idea of a tropical hideaway hotel.
Due to the shortage of accommodation on both Big & Little Corn (as well as limited flight availability) we recommend booking as far in advance as possible.
