As with others in the industry, we were very saddened at the sudden closure of Captivating Cuba.
Being a relatively niche destination, everyone tends to know everyone in the Cuba travel business but our links to Captivating Cuba are both deep and long established.
Having started out in the travel industry way back in 1995, my first job in travel was in fact with Captivating Cuba and it was there that my long association with both the country and company began.
Having left the business in 1998, I continued to work closely with the company, first while at Voyager Cuba and then, in more recent years, here at Beyond The Ordinary.
Many of the local, Cuba based employees of Captivating Cuba have been with the company for as long as I can remember and have always shown great dedication to both the business and its clients.
We wish everyone there the very best for the future, whatever that might be, and look forward to staying in contact.
