Cannon House Akumal

Cannon House is a private property overlooking beautiful Akumal Bay that has been split into two separate holiday rentals.

The property takes its name from the three cannons located in front of the house which were part of a Spanish galleon that was discovered in Akumal Bay some 60 years ago by the father of the current owner.

Although Cannon House is a stand-alone rental property, it is also part of the nearby Hotel Akumal Caribe and guests can use the hotel’s swimming pool as well as pre-booking either a Continental or American breakfast for the duration of their stay.

Located within attractive, tended gardens, when it comes to accommodation options clients can choose between either the Cannon House Suite or Cannon House Studio.

Ideal for families, the Cannon House Suite is the larger of the two options and features two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with twin beds. Both rooms have their own bathrooms.

The Cannon House Suite also has a small living room, a fully fitted kitchen and balcony with lovely views over both the ocean and Akumal Bay.

The Cannon House Studio is located on the ground floor of the property and comprises a king-size bed, a large bathroom, kitchen and terrace with sea views.

The Studio is well suited to honeymooners or anyone seeking a bit more space and privacy than afforded by the standard hotel rooms.

As well as the hotel restaurant, there are a spattering of other bars and restaurants within walking distance of the property.

All Beyond The Ordinary holidays are entirely tailor made and, typically, most of our clients will spend the first part of their holiday exploring the numerous historic and cultural highlights of the Yucatan Peninsula before flopping out on the beach for a bit of R&R.
