Hostal del Rijo
Sancti Spiritus, Cuba Heritage
Housed in a colonial-era building dating back to the early 19th century, the Hostal del Rijo enjoys a picturesque setting in the heart of Sancti Spiritus.
The building in which the Hostal del Rijo is housed dates back to the 19th century while its name comes from its most famous occupant, Dr Don Rudesindo Garcia Rijo.
From the large, outdoor terrace at the hotel, guests overlook a peaceful little square, Honorato del Castillo, while the hotel is also within easy walking distance of all the main sites of Sancti Spiritus including the main parochial church, Parque Serafin and Puente Yayabo.
The bar / restaurant is located in an attractive open courtyard with rooms located on the floors above.
There are 16 rooms in total, all comfortably furnished in a colonial style and with some rooms benefiting from views over the square.
