The hotel is actually located in the small village of Paniste, from which it takes its name, and as well as being a beautiful spot in which to relax, is also a great base from which to explore Coban, nearby orchid gardens, the Biotopo del Quetzal, the Grutas del Rey Marcos & Chilasco waterfall.
When not out exploring the surrounding region, guests at the Hotel Paniste can relax at its heated, infinity pool, with views over the surrounding forest.
Alternatively, guests can sweat it out in a traditional temazcal, enjoy a massage in the small spa or work off some calories in the gym. For those with an interest in wildlife, there is a deer reserve next door and guests of the hotel can arrange to feed the deers.
In addition to the swimming pool bar, drinks are served in the main lounge and, with the strong German heritage of the region, that naturally includes a selection of lagers.
The restaurant at Hotel Paniste serves a selection of local and German influenced cuisine with many of the organic ingredients coming from its own farm. The area around Coban is famous for both its coffee and chocolate so be sure to try both while you’re there.

The 11 rooms are all very spacious and come with either 2 Queen sized beds or 1 King. All rooms have both a fireplace and private balcony.
