Hotel Guayaha

Beautiful, nature & activity based hotel near Semuc Champey

Primarily offered as a base from which to visit both Semuc Champey and the nearby Lanquin caves, Hotel Guayaha also serves as a great option for clients looking to enjoy a number of nature-based activities.

Options including hiking, with a number of trails of varying difficulty, river rafting, kayaking, tubing, zip-lining, rappelling and mountain biking.

Alternatively, for those guests seeking a more somnolent experience, the hotel’s swimming pool is a great place to sit back and relax with a good book. Alternatively, there are a number of hammocks spread out around the hotel gardens that are ideal for a bit of well deserved shut-eye. For those guests are a bit more pampering, the hotel also offers a number of spa treatments on request.

The hotel restaurant at Guayaha is open daily from 7am to 8pm and serves a variety of Guatemalan and international dishes. A decent range of soft and alcoholic drinks are also available, including at the pool.

In terms of accommodation, there are just 10 nicely appointed, en-suite rooms. 6 of these rooms have a/c, the other 4 featuring fans. 9 of the rooms feature 2 queen sized beds, with just 1 room offering a king sized bed. While the hotel offers glamping as an accommodation option, we currently only offer the bedrooms.

While all Beyond The Ordinary clients will visit the hotel as part of a private tour, such as our 3 week Complete Guatemala tour, with transport and a Driver / Guide, the hotel can also arrange transport to and from Semuc Champey.
