For those who like their beach hotels small and low-key, Holbox Dream ticks both boxes and is a great place to flop out and do very little.
Located a short walk from Holbox’s small town, the hotel is far enough away to retain a sense of peace and quiet but close enough to make it easy to pop in for a drink or meal at any time.
Directly located on the beach, Holbox Dream isn’t somewhere one goes for luxury or lots of facilities. Surprisingly for such a small hotel, there are actually swimming pools although most guests tend to gravitate to the Beach Club in front of the hotel where you can spend hours relaxing, enjoying the view and sipping a cocktail.
Although breakfast is provided at the hotel there is no formal restaurant although the Beach Club does serve up light snacks during the day.
The hotel’s 47 rooms are clean and crisp and divided into different categories with rooms getting larger and better located the more you pay – Siesta, Siesta Premium, Vision (seaview), Sweet Dream & Sweet Dream Premium.
