A guide to accommodation options in Tulum
Now one of the world’s most famous and aspirational beach destinations, accommodation in Tulum can be divided into good value hotels in town and somewhat pricier options on its picture-postcard beaches.

Where to stay in Tulum
Accommodation in Tulum can broadly be divided into 3 separate, geographic sections – those hotels in and around the town on the main road, the hotels on the beach south of the T junction and hotels on the beach to the north of the same junction.
When most people refer to Tulum, they are probably referring to those beach hotels south of the junction, all small, low rise hotels that blend in with their natural surroundings. These include two of our featured properties, Hip Hotel Tulum and Rosa del Viento. In the same area we are also able to book the hotels Los Lirios and Ana y Jose.

North of the actual Mayan ruins, and just about close enough to still be referred to as Tulum, is Dreams Tulum, our favourite All Inclusive resort along the east coast.
Please note that we do not feature any hotels in the town of Tulum.
More Hotels in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula
Beyond Tulum, we feature a wide variety of characterful and charming hotels right across the Yucatan Peninsula’s towns, countryside and beaches, from simple inns to luxury hotels and haciendas. As a beach alternative to Tulum, perhaps consider Holbox or even El Cuyo.
