Where to stay in Laguna Bacalar
Laguna Bacalar is a very long, thin lake with accommodation spread out alongside its western shore, alongside which runs the north – south coastal highway.
Although there is a small town, Bacalar, most visitors to the area are looking for peace and quiet in an unspoiled location.
Our recommended property is the Hotel Rancho Encantado, around 10 minutes’ drive north of the town of Bacalar and directly on the lake.
