If it’s location and character that you’re after, it’s hard to beat the Hotel Meson del Regidor in Trinidad.
This charming property is located on Calle Simon Bolivar, the main street leading up to Trinidad’s Plaza Mayor which is no more than 100 metres away.
Although described as a hotel, a more apt description would probably be a restaurant-with-rooms as there are just 4 rooms in total and the restaurant is popular with tour groups.
Rooms are all spacious and comfortable and face out onto the street which is great for people watching although noise can be an issue.
Not surprisingly, apart from the bar / restaurant there aren’t really any facilities to speak of but the hotel does have a pleasant little internal courtyard.
