Na Balam

Na Balam is very much a ‘barefoot-in-the-sand’ style property with little in the way of glitz and glamour and a firmly held belief that, sometimes, less really is more.

‘Wellness’ forms a major part of the hotel’s dna and includes the full-service ‘Lotus Spa’ with beachfront and pool-side treatment facilities, a small and relaxing pool with hot jacuzzi and an on-site Yoga Studio & School. In addition, all rooms feature organic bath amenities made with aloe vera, oatmeal and honey.

Meals at the hotel’s Zazil Ha restaurant are both delicious and healthy (perhaps not the cocktails) and the beachfront location simply can’t be matched anywhere on the island, especially at night under candlelight.

There are just 35 rooms and suites, split between those located facing the beach and those set back slightly and located around the hotel pool. All rooms are spacious and simply but stylishly furnished, reflecting the pared down ethos of the hotel.

Despite its size there are 5 different room categories to choose from ranging from the entry level Deluxe Pool Side rooms, through Deluxe Ocean View rooms and up to the One Bedroom Ocean View Suite with Jacuzzi Terrace, ideal for honeymoons and other special occasions.
