Cienfuegos, Cuba
Housed within an historic building that dates back to 1822, Palo Gordo is a small, slightly boho property located in the very heart of Cienfuegos.
Just a short walk from the city’s large, central square, home to numerous grand, civic buildings including the famous Teatro Tomas Terry, the Punta Gorda neighbourhood is also just a short taxi ride away.
Despite its busy, central location, Palo Gordo features a peaceful, plant-filled interior courtyard where both breakfast (included), dinner and drinks are served. For those who like a view with their meals, these can be served on guests’ individual balconies.
In total, Palo Gordo features just 3 charming, spacious rooms – La Perla (2 pax maximum), El Che (3 pax) and Marysol (3 pax). All rooms are individually and tastefully decorated & furnished and have ensuite bathrooms, a/c, mini-fridge and safe as well as individual balconies, a rare treat in Cuba. Wifi is also available across the property.
While most of our clients will visit Cienfuegos as part of a private tour, with their own Driver / Guide and transport, for those guests travelling on a more independent basis, Palo Gordo can help with local sightseeing arrangements and even has access to its own 1956 Chevrolet Classic.
