Stylish, contemporary re-imagining of a heritage property

Located in the heart of Antigua, just a short walk from the Arco de Santa Catalina, a small corridor off the cobbled street outside leads arriving guests into a delightful, open-air courtyard.

Beautifully planted with cypress trees and a variety of flowers, the San Rafael hotel is one of the most serene spots in town, further augmented by the beautiful, individually sourced furniture and works of art that perfectly complement the property.

Set off this main courtyard are the majority of the hotel’s rooms together with a spacious lounge, complete with log-fire, and kitchenette. There is no restaurant at the San Rafael hotel but breakfast is included in the price and is either served outside guest’s rooms, in the courtyard or, if it’s chilly, in the lounge.

There are no facilities at such as the hotel – that’s not really why one would visit such a hotel – although in-room treatments can be arranged on request.

Accommodation comprises just 7 rooms, each one different to the other in terms of size, shape and décor but, as with the courtyard, all beautifully decorated. Please note that there is just the one twin room.
