Hotel Mascotte
Remedios, Cuba
Heritage
For many years the only gig in town, the Hotel Mascotte is an attractive, low-rise, colonial era hotel that occupies a prime location overlooking the town’s main square.
Consisting of just 2 floors, the airy ground level has wonderful high ceilings and French windows and is given over to the lobby and a simple but pleasant restaurant.
Due to its small size, the Mascotte tends to attract less tour groups than its sister hotels in town and, consequently, has a generally more relaxed atmosphere.
Upstairs are 10 compact but comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms, most with high ceilings. Rooms do vary in size and shape with the best ones all benefitting from wrought iron galleries overlooking the square.
