Made famous in the novel ‘Our Man in Havana’, the Hotel Sevilla is an Andalusian styled property located at the back of Parque Central in Old Havana and is mainly popular for its pleasant outdoor swimming pool.

The public areas of the hotel reflect the Moorish traditions of Sevilla in Spain with plenty of intricate tilework and a typical open-air courtyard garden. The swimming pool is located on the ground-floor level while the hotel also has an old-fashioned arcade, home to a number of offices and shops.
The main hotel restaurant is located on the ground floor but the Hotel Sevilla also boasts a beautiful bar-cum-restaurant on the top floor of the accommodation block. The views are some of the best in Havana although our advice, and this applies throughout Cuba, is to eat and drink out.
The hotel’s 178 rooms are all located in a tower block and, while perfectly adequate, are not the hotel’s strongest feature. The best aspect of the Sevilla’s rooms is that they all feature external facing windows, a rarity amongst hotels in Old Havana. Upgrading to a Superior room, all located in the corners of the accommodation block, affords greater space and even more light.
